A Book About Female Poker Pro Annie Duke

Poker used to be played only by men but the evolution of poker has not been limited to the changes in the rules of the game or to the improvement in the strategies that can be used by poker players or to the fact that major poker tournaments are now televised. With the evolution of poker comes the emergence of women professional poker players. If you are not a poker enthusiast and you watch a poker tournament for the first time, you will be surprised by the number of women professional poker players competing against their fellow women poker players or against male professional poker players. Today, not only male poker players are known in the poker industry. Today, even women poker players have started to be recognized as they have the capabilities of not only playing against but also defeating male poker professionals. One of the most popular female professional poker players today is Annie Duke. And because of her success in the poker world, Annie Duke has decided to chronicle her life as a poker professional with poker author David Diamond. Thus, the birth of the poker book "Annie Duke: How I Raised, Folded, Bluffed, Flirted, Cursed, and Won Millions."

"Annie Duke: How I Raised, Folded, Bluffed, Flirted, Cursed, and Won Millions" is a poker book categorized into three sections. The first category is about the life of Annie Duke from the time that she was not yet a professional poker player to the time of this poker book's publication. The second section of "Annie Duke: How I Raised, Folded, Bluffed, Flirted, Cursed, and Won Millions" features her thoughts on the victories she has experienced, including her experience of winning a World Series of Poker bracelet in 2004 and her experience of winning in the Tournament of Champions, which was also held in 2004.

"Annie Duke: How I Raised, Folded, Bluffed, Flirted, Cursed, and Won Millions" also features a commentary section wherein Annie Duke presents her opinions as to her experience of emerging victorious in a World Series of Poker event. As far as the psychological aspect is concerned, the way Annie Duke has written her commentary seems to be interesting as she relates strategic considerations as well as her motivations. However, the contents of this poker book are also disappointing if readers will consider it from a strategic standpoint.

Readers may find some of the contents of "Annie Duke: How I Raised, Folded, Bluffed, Flirted, Cursed, and Won Millions" disappointing but nonetheless, the autobiographical parts of this poker book are worth reading. Some readers may not agree to some of the contents of this poker book but we still recommend it because it is always interesting to know more about the lives of professional poker players, especially a female poker professional.

"Annie Duke: How I Raised, Folded, Bluffed, Flirted, Cursed, and Won Millions" has two hundred sixty pages and can be bought for US$24.95.
